Business Development Manager - MICE (12‑Month Parental Leave Cover)

About the role

As the Business Development Manager for MICE, you will identify and secure new conference and event business for Pullman & Mercure Melbourne Albert Park, driving revenue and building strong client relationships during a 12‑month parental leave cover.

Key responsibilities

• Drive business development and manage accounts within the conference, events and functions sector.
• Promote the hotel as a destination to increase conference, event and room night bookings.
• Take a proactive and innovative approach to acquiring new conference and events business.
• Sell the hotel's products and services, including Food & Beverage.
• Collaborate with Sales & Marketing to establish effective systems for new business implementation.
• Maximise long‑term returns from both new and existing accounts.
• Work with operational departments to ensure outstanding customer service and repeat business.
• Partner with the Marketing team to achieve the hotel's strategic goals.
