Business Development Manager

About the role

Australian Bright Engineering, a Brisbane-based supplier of premium European decorative lighting for councils, shopping centres, festivals, corporate events and large installations, is looking for a full-time Business Development Manager. The role supports the company's growth by identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, managing a client portfolio and building lasting commercial relationships. It is a hybrid position based in Brisbane, combining office presence with working-from-home flexibility.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and qualify new business opportunities and manage a client portfolio with regular follow-up.
• Conduct market analysis and prepare sales proposals.
• Deliver client presentations and work with technical teams to align lighting solutions with client needs.
• Help run multichannel prospecting strategies (phone, email, professional networks, events).
• Report on sales performance.

Required profile

• Degree in business, marketing or a related field, or equivalent experience in business development, ideally in lighting, events or technical solutions.
• Proven track record in lead generation and B2B prospecting, with the ability to manage a sales pipeline and achieve targets.
• Strong analytical and market research skills, and excellent written and verbal communication with a focus on customer service.

Required skills

• Desirable: proficiency with CRM platforms and digital workplace tools.
