Business Development Executive – Protective Coatings and Trade

About the role

You will support, manage and grow Dulux Protective Coatings and Dulux Trade business opportunities across north‑west WA, focusing on mining, heavy industrial and trade painting sectors. Working independently, you will build strong relationships with consultants, engineers, architects, contractors, councils and asset owners, providing technical advice, tailored specifications and exceptional service.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and expand protective‑coatings and trade painting business in the region.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders such as consultants, engineers and contractors.
• Deliver expert technical advice and customised specifications.
• Drive profitable sales growth through business development and commercial agreements.
• Support new product development and market innovation.
• Act as second‑in‑command to the State Sales Manager, handling forecasting, price management and project lists.
• Ensure safety and sustainability remain priorities in all activities.

Required profile

• Industry experience or a Trade Painter qualification.
• Strong negotiation, presentation and planning abilities.
• Proven experience resolving customer complaints and managing complex projects.
• Excellent time‑management, analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong computer and report‑writing capabilities.
