Business Development Executive

About the role

We are seeking a Business Development Executive to drive growth for our freight forwarding business across Western Australia. You will focus on building genuine relationships, understanding customer challenges, and delivering solutions that add real value.

Key responsibilities

• Build and manage a structured sales pipeline that supports sustainable growth.
• Identify, pursue and secure new business opportunities aligned with SGL's service offering.
• Make and attend organised meetings and perform cold calls in local industrial areas to generate new business.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing customers.
• Lead customer meetings, presentations and commercial discussions.
• Prepare proposals, quotations and assist in tender submissions.
• Manage the onboarding of new customers and facilitate a smooth transition into SGL services.
• Collaborate with operations and internal stakeholders to ensure customer expectations are met.
• Maintain accurate pipeline reporting and sales activity records.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities.
• Represent SGL professionally in the market.
