Business Controller

About the role

NewCold is seeking a mid‑senior Business Controller for its brand‑new, state‑of‑the‑art facility in Marsden Park, Sydney. You will establish strong financial controls, reporting frameworks and performance standards in a highly automated cold‑storage environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and submit monthly reporting packs to the group with insights and management comments.
• Prepare weekly cash‑flow projections and covenant reporting for lender compliance.
• Lead the annual budget process and rolling forecasts in partnership with Finance, Commercial and Operations teams.
• Monitor site financial results, identify improvement areas and work with Operations leadership on cost optimisation.
• Maintain strong internal controls, ensure compliance with statutory requirements and support external auditors, tax advisors and banks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or Finance.
• 3+ years in a similar Business Controller role and 10+ years overall accounting and finance experience.
• Demonstrated experience in project accounting, financial accounting, taxation, management accounting and management reporting.
• Analytical mindset, commercial acumen and strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional certification such as CA or CPA and a valid driver’s licence.
