Business Banker - Melbourne & Regional VIC

About the role

CBA's Small Business Banking team is looking for an experienced Business Banker to join its team, with location flexibility across Victoria. The role supports customers across Victoria and Tasmania, working closely with referral partners such as brokers, Premier Banking, CBA branches and Commercial Banking teams. It suits someone who wants to combine commercial acumen with a customer-first approach to help small businesses grow.

Key responsibilities

• Engage in meaningful customer conversations to uncover goals and deliver timely financial solutions, including commercial lending up to $1.5M, asset finance, merchant services and everyday banking.
• Proactively engage customers to support their business and personal goals.
• Represent CBA as a brand ambassador in the local business community, including hosting educational events on financial wellbeing.
• Attend stakeholder meetings to raise awareness of Small Business Banking services and foster referral partnerships.

Required profile

• Experience in small business or commercial lending, business banking or a similar customer-facing financial services role.
• A track record of managing customer pipelines and delivering proactive service.
• Genuine passion for supporting small business customers, or firsthand experience running one.
• FSRA Tier 2 accreditation and Credit Approval Authority (CAA) Level 2, or willingness to obtain them within 6 months.
