Business Analyst

About the role

The Electoral Commission of Queensland is seeking a versatile Business Analyst to join its Digital Technologies unit. You will work within a small Agile team to ensure critical election systems remain fit for purpose and support the delivery of electoral events.

Key responsibilities

• Provide user support for the Critical Election Systems (CES) during election delivery and business‑as‑usual activities.
• Manage the CES Business Improvement Register, prioritising improvements within allocated budgets.
• Coordinate the Business Improvement programme with ECQ stakeholders and CES suppliers.
• Administer and lead CES Change Requests, presenting them to the Election Systems Quality Board for approval.
• Support election delivery projects and manage selected improvement initiatives.
• Identify gaps or overlaps in CES functionality and assess impacts of proposed changes.
• Maintain relationships with ECQ staff, service providers and external clients to ensure high‑quality change management and service delivery.
• Analyse business requirements, develop user stories and provide application support to CES users.
