Building Maintenance Technician

About the role

Join Greystar’s Facilities and Maintenance team at Haiku – The Claremont, a premium Build‑to‑Rent community in South Yarra, Melbourne. As a Building Maintenance Technician you will keep the property in top condition and ensure residents enjoy a safe, comfortable living environment.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve maintenance requests for apartments and shared areas.
• Perform general repairs, painting, plumbing and basic electrical work.
• Carry out preventative maintenance tasks to minimise breakdowns.
• Maintain the building’s appearance, including lighting, fixtures and presentation standards.
• Record all work and safety checks in the maintenance system.
• Coordinate external contractors, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Provide friendly, hands‑on assistance to residents.

Required profile

• Handy and proactive with a can‑do attitude.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused mindset.
• Ability to work independently on a single site.
