Building Cadet – Construction Support Role

About the role

BESIX Watpac is looking for a Building Cadet to join its Construction SA division on a part‑time basis. This role provides a pathway into the graduate program, giving exposure to engineering, design, estimating and safety within a top‑tier building contractor.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing cost plans and tenders by reviewing project requirements and compiling documentation.
• Support quality assurance and safety management by monitoring compliance, documenting non‑conformances and helping implement corrective actions.
• Contribute to estimating and project controls through quantity take‑offs, cost analysis, subcontractor scope reviews and procurement support.
• Perform general site duties, office tasks and administration as required.

Required profile

• Currently studying a university degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field.
• Professionalism, strong work ethic and focus on timeliness, accuracy and punctuality.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of MS Word.
• Working knowledge of MS Excel.
• Working knowledge of MS Outlook.
