Brand Designer

About the role

HappyCo is looking for a Brand Designer to join its small, specialist Brand Design team. You will work across campaigns, web, events, sales storytelling, and motion, collaborating closely with Marketing and other departments to deliver high‑quality brand experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Create brand and campaign assets for digital, print, social, events, and motion from concept to final delivery.
• Design and produce web experiences, using no‑code tools, Claude Code, or direct front‑end collaboration.
• Contribute to video and motion projects, including brand animation and product storytelling.
• Develop brand templates, component libraries, and self‑serve tools for the wider organization.
• Build and refine AI‑assisted brand workflows that integrate brand intelligence across channels.
• Audit and resolve brand inconsistencies, and write guidance that explains the rationale behind decisions.
• Partner with Marketing, Sales, and Product early in briefs to embed brand perspective.
• Measure the impact of your work, analyse results, and iterate for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of brand design experience with a portfolio that shows a clear creative point of view and shipped work.
• Strong visual fundamentals in typography, layout, colour, and composition (or motion fundamentals if that is your primary focus).
• Agency background with a desire for end‑to‑end ownership rather than client‑only work.
• Experience in motion design, brand systems, or related disciplines.

Required skills

• AI‑assisted design tools and workflows.
• Claude Code or similar code‑generation tools.
• No‑code platforms for web production.
• Front‑end collaboration (HTML/CSS basics).
• Motion design software (e.g., After Effects, Premiere).
