About the role

Lead a high‑performing operation across warehouse, transport, administration and customer service for PFD Food Services in Canberra. You will own branch performance, drive profitability and shape the future success of one of Australia’s leading foodservice distributors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily operations across warehouse, transport and administration.
• Deliver profitability, productivity and operational targets.
• Drive customer growth and service excellence.
• Develop, coach and inspire a large, diverse team.
• Manage budgets, costs and inventory performance.
• Build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
• Champion a safety‑first culture and identify efficiency improvements.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large operational teams.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen with budget management experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Hands‑on leadership style that builds trust and accountability.
• Passion for developing people and creating high‑performing teams.
• Experience in FMCG, logistics, distribution or foodservice is highly regarded.
