About the role
A full-time, experienced bookkeeper is sought to join an expanding bookkeeping team serving Mornington Peninsula and other locations. The work starts with bookkeeping and BASs and grows into a trainee accountant role covering accounting and taxation. You will work with several clients alongside an experienced team, supported by systems, processes and ongoing training.
Key responsibilities
- General bookkeeping and payroll services for small to medium business clients
- Accounts receivable and payable
- Business Activity Statements and assistance with instalment and BAS preparation
- Bank reconciliation
- Payroll processing, including STP, PAYG and superannuation reconciliation
- Monthly and quarterly reporting
Required profile
- Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping experience
- Sound working knowledge of basic accounting practices
- Experience managing multiple clients and multitasking
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication and client relationship skills
Required skills
- Xero and MYOB
- Excel
