Boilermaker Teacher – TAFE Queensland

About the role

TAFE Queensland SkillsTech is seeking a full‑time Boilermaker Teacher to deliver engineering training at the Acacia Ridge campus. The role combines classroom instruction, workshop supervision, online delivery and workplace training to prepare students for careers in manufacturing and construction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver curriculum for the Boilermaker trade across classroom, workshop and online environments.
• Assess student competency against industry standards and provide constructive feedback.
• Supervise practical workshop activities, ensuring safety and quality.
• Facilitate workplace training placements and liaise with industry partners.
• Maintain accurate student records and contribute to continuous improvement of the program.

Required profile

• MEM31922 Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Boilermaker) or equivalent.
• Current hands‑on experience in boilermaking or related fabrication work.
• Demonstrated ability to assess vocational competencies.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development in vocational training.
• Willingness to hold or obtain TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
