Boarding Supervisor (Casual) - Boys' and Girls' Houses

About the role

Catholic Education Cairns is recruiting casual boarding supervisors for Mount St Bernard College in Herberton, Queensland. The college, established in 1921 by the Sisters of Mercy and now administered by the Diocese of Cairns, has about 180 students, many First Nations, and offers both day and boarding places. Shifts are currently available and start immediately; hours vary and include afternoons, evenings and weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise boarding students in the boarding houses, during meals and in supervised activities on college grounds and at out-of-school activities.
• Ensure the welfare and safety of boarding students.
• Male employees are rostered in the boys' boarding house and female employees in the girls' boarding house.

Required profile

• Available to work flexible shifts, including weekends, overnight shifts and Friday evenings.
• First aid and CPR qualification.
• Working with Children Blue Card.
• Current driver's licence.
• Supportive of the ethos of Catholic Education and fully committed to a child-safe organisation.
• A current LR bus licence is desirable.
