Biostatistician – AI Trainer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Biostatistician to help train and evaluate AI chat‑bot models that handle complex biology queries. You will design biology‑focused tasks, measure model progress, and provide feedback to improve accuracy and logical reasoning.

Key responsibilities

• Create diverse and challenging biology tasks for AI chat‑bots and assess their outputs.
• Evaluate AI model performance for correctness, relevance, and overall quality.
• Identify gaps in model logic and propose solutions to enhance model behavior.

Required profile

• Fluency in English (native or bilingual level).
• Detail‑oriented with strong understanding of cell biology, genetics, biochemistry, and experimental methods.
• Current, in‑progress, or completed Master’s or PhD in a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
• Must be based in Australia and able to work independently as a contractor.
