Bid Coordinator

About the role

Datacom is looking for a Bid Coordinator in Canberra. The role coordinates and assists with the bid process through the Datacom system to help devise diverse customer solutions. It keeps the pre-sales engine running so the bid function can be enabled and optimised.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the proposal process by gathering all information needed for the proposal content and carrying out internal reviews.
• Coordinate the proposal process, collate documentation, write content and deliver on proposal specifications.
• Handle administrative and support tasks that help the bids team manage proposals, win tenders and secure opportunities.
• Write pre-sales content for proposals delivered to clients and prospects.

Required profile

• 2+ years in an administrative or sales-focused role.
• Knowledge of the bid/sales process in a similar technical environment.
• Sound administrative knowledge.
• Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and flag risks early; calm under pressure, especially around fixed submission deadlines.
• Collaborative style, supporting Bid Managers, sales teams, SMEs and leadership across Australia and New Zealand.

Required skills

• Excellent technical writing and presentation skills, able to explain technical information to different audiences.
• Advanced MS Office skills; preferred candidates are confident with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams and SharePoint.
• Preferred: bid/tender coordination experience, stakeholder coordination, document formatting, and strong attention to detail including version control and compliance checks.
