Barkly Football & Collingwood FC NGA Lead

About the role

The Barkly Football & Collingwood FC NGA Lead supports football across the Barkly region, strengthening competitions, pathways, participation and community connection. The role administers the Barkly Football League across senior and junior competitions and supports game development outcomes, while coordinating local activations for the Collingwood Football Club Next Generation Academy.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage Barkly Football League match day operations
• Develop and deliver participation plans for the Barkly region
• Support junior and youth football pathways
• Administer competitions in line with the National Policies Handbook and the league by-laws
• Build relationships with AFLNT, league and club presidents, volunteers, committees and other stakeholders
• Drive umpire recruitment and retention, and coordinate match day staff rosters
• Support consistent competition operations across the Northern Territory and assist with media information
• Support Collingwood FC Next Generation Academy activities and help connect local players with academy programmes
• Work with schools, game development and remote teams to support sustainable participation

Required profile

• Strong administration skills and attention to detail
• Experience working with volunteers, committees and community stakeholders
• Strong organisation, planning and coordination skills
• Ability to build trusted relationships across clubs, schools and communities
• Adaptable, with initiative and sound judgement, able to work without close supervision
• Valid Working with Children Check and a current Northern Territory driver licence
