Bar Attendant – Casual Hospitality Role

About the role

Join the Food & Beverage team at Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort as a Bar Attendant on a casual basis. You will work across bars, restaurants, conferences and events, delivering friendly and efficient beverage service.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests with a genuine, friendly approach and take beverage orders.
• Prepare and serve a range of beers, wines, spirits and cocktails, and provide knowledgeable recommendations.
• Support bar service for conferences, weddings and special events, maintaining clean and well‑stocked work areas.
• Assist with stock control, preparation and general bar operations while adhering to responsible service, food safety and health standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of cocktail and bartending experience.
• Strong knowledge of beer, wine, spirits and cocktails.
• Friendly, confident and approachable personality with a passion for great service.
• Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a fast‑paced environment and flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification.
• Experience with bar stock control and beverage preparation.
