Banking Consultant – Retail Banking (Townsville)

About the role

As a Banking Consultant in ANZ’s Retail Banking division, you will deliver a seamless banking experience to customers in Townsville. You will meet end‑to‑end financial needs, conduct transactions, hold needs‑based conversations and educate clients on digital and traditional financial solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Drive customer engagement and advocacy by providing high‑quality service.
• Support and participate in bank programmes and initiatives.
• Apply “know your customer” principles from a risk perspective.
• Ensure compliance with ANZ and branch policies and procedures.
• Perform customer transactions and recommend products according to accreditation level.

Required profile

• Strong customer focus with retail experience (preferred).
• Comfortable using digital channels and technology.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to change and ambiguity.
• Team‑oriented mindset and willingness to collaborate.
• Sound understanding of compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
