Banking Consultant – Retail Banking (Swan Hill)

About the role

As a Banking Consultant in ANZ’s Retail Banking division, you will deliver a seamless banking experience for customers, addressing their full financial needs through transactions, needs‑based conversations, and digital solutions. Based primarily in branch, you will uphold high service standards, act as a role model and peer coach, and champion ANZ’s Customer Promises.

Key responsibilities

• Drive increased customer engagement and advocacy while creating real value.
• Participate in and support bank programs and initiatives.
• Maintain a thorough ‘know your customer’ approach from a risk perspective.
• Ensure compliance with ANZ and branch policies and procedures.
• Conduct customer transactions and needs‑based discussions in line with accreditation levels.

Required profile

• Exceptional customer focus; retail banking experience is an advantage.
• Experience using and promoting digital technology channels.
• Lending experience or willingness to develop lending capabilities.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to change and ambiguity.
• Team‑oriented mindset with strong collaboration skills.
• Sound understanding of compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
