About the role
TikTok's Trust and Safety engineering team protects users from harmful content and abusive behavior. As a graduate Backend Software Engineer, you will develop systems that enhance safety for international live‑streaming products.
Key responsibilities
- Research and develop trust‑and‑safety related systems and product functionalities, including safety processes, user perception tools, and review efficiency improvements.
- Build high‑concurrency, high‑stability backend services for large numbers of live‑streaming users.
- Analyze business requirements to devise solutions for live‑streaming safety challenges.
Required profile
- Currently completing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or higher degree in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong problem‑analysis abilities, proactive attitude, and good communication and teamwork skills.
Required skills
- Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, Go, PHP, C++, or Java.
- Experience designing data structures and algorithms.
