Automotive Trade Recruitment Consultant

About the role

ASM, a leading business in skilled trades recruitment and migration, is recruiting Automotive Trade Recruitment Consultants. The role suits someone with a background in recruitment or as a skilled automotive tradesman, workshop controller or foreman, who wants to build a long-term career in recruitment and works confidently in a modern, digital, fast-paced environment. International travel is required.

Key responsibilities

• Sourcing and screening qualified automotive technicians (light vehicle, heavy diesel, auto-electrical, panel beater and spray painters)
• Assessing trade skills using your own workshop experience
• Working closely with clients to understand their staffing needs
• Managing candidates through the recruitment and visa process
• Updating notes, job stages and communications in the CRM program
• Preparing reports and documents using Microsoft Office Suite

Required profile

• Essential automotive trade background with a minimum of 5-8 years' experience (light vehicle, diesel, auto electrical, workshop controller, service advisor or similar)
• Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities at pace
• Strong judgement on technical ability and workshop skill sets
• Interest in people, problem solving and helping employers secure skilled staff

Required skills

• Confident with Microsoft Office, email communication and digital systems
• International travel is a requirement of the role
