Automotive Technician – Calibration Centre

About the role

We are expanding our Eagle Farm Calibration Centre and are looking for a dedicated Automotive Technician or Automotive Electrician. You will perform vehicle inspections, road tests and ensure every vehicle is returned to OEM specifications using both OEM and aftermarket diagnostic tools.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed vehicle inspections and road tests to exact OEM standards.
• Use OEM scan tools and aftermarket diagnostic equipment/software for troubleshooting.
• Perform diagnostics, repairs, calibration, coding and programming of vehicle systems.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with safety and quality procedures.

Required profile

• Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology (or equivalent) – required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a main dealer or recognised aftermarket environment (desirable).
• Current Australian Class C driver’s licence with a clean record and experience driving a long‑wheel‑base vehicle.
• HEV and BEV accreditation highly desirable.
• Strong focus on high‑quality outcomes and customer satisfaction.

Required skills

• Proficiency with OEM scan tools.
• Experience using aftermarket diagnostic equipment and software.
• Vehicle inspection, diagnostics and repair.
• Calibration, coding and programming of vehicle electronic systems.
• Knowledge of hybrid electric (HEV) and battery electric (BEV) vehicle systems.
• Operation of long‑wheel‑base vehicles.
