Auditor – Brisbane Audit Team

About the role

BDO is seeking an Auditor to join its Brisbane Audit team. You will work with a high‑performing group serving a diverse portfolio of public, private and not‑for‑profit organisations across multiple industries. This role offers exposure to challenging audit engagements and the chance to develop expertise in various accounting frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Support the execution of audits for proprietary, listed and not‑for‑profit entities of varying sizes.
• Identify audit risks and contribute to the development of audit approaches for assigned areas.
• Collaborate with engagement managers and senior team members to raise issues, queries or risks.
• Document audit findings, including internal controls and control environments.
• Prepare audit reports, management representation letters and other engagement documentation.
• Liaise with clients regarding audit requests and deliverables.

Required profile

• Previous external audit experience in a professional services firm.
• Working towards, or interested in pursuing, CA or CPA qualification.
• Experience preparing General Purpose Financial Statements.
• Strong analytical ability to identify issues and contribute to problem solving.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
