Audit Senior Manager - Consumer and Industrial Products and Services

About the role

PwC Australia is hiring an Audit Senior Manager for its CIPS Audit team in Melbourne. The role is a key leadership position delivering high-quality external audit services, managing client relationships and leading audit engagements across a diverse portfolio of clients, from growing companies to large, complex organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the strategic planning, execution and delivery of multiple external audit engagements in line with regulatory and professional standards.
• Manage, mentor and inspire audit teams, fostering excellence and continuous improvement.
• Build trusted client relationships by understanding their business operations, risks and audit requirements.
• Oversee the identification and assessment of financial and control risks and craft tailored audit strategies.
• Advise clients and internal teams on financial reporting issues and emerging regulatory changes.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders on complex audit challenges and recommend improvements.
• Champion initiatives to improve audit methodologies, tools and processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 7+ years in external audit, preferably with significant exposure to CIPS or related sectors, with a recognised CA (Chartered Accountant) or equivalent qualification.
• Proven track record leading audit teams and delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence senior client leadership.
• In-depth knowledge of auditing standards, financial reporting frameworks and CIPS-related regulations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, able to explain complex findings to senior management and boards.
