Audit Quality Methodology Manager

About the role

The Manager – Audit Quality Methodology will support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of BDO’s audit methodology, policies, guidance and related tools. Working closely with audit engagement teams and the Audit & Assurance Quality function, the role ensures consistent application of methodology across the firm.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and implement quality frameworks, methodologies, policies, guidance and tools for audit engagements.
• Execute methodology projects, own workstreams and deliverables, and monitor changes to professional standards and regulatory requirements.
• Create practical templates and resources that promote consistency, scalability and compliance across audits.
• Provide technical consultation on methodology matters and support complex engagement issues.
• Collaborate with service lines and Learning & Development to identify capability gaps and quality risks.

Required profile

• Strong technical judgement and project‑management capability.
• Background in external audit at a reputable professional services firm.
• In‑depth knowledge of International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and assurance standards.
• CA qualification or equivalent.
• Experience in audit quality initiatives, resource design and learning facilitation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Independent thinker with strong problem‑solving abilities.
