About the role

As an Associate/Technical Director in Aurecon’s Queensland Transport Team, you will lead complex infrastructure projects from concept through delivery, shaping technical direction and driving innovative solutions that enhance community resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on complex engineering projects across the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to solve technical challenges.
• Deliver high‑quality advice that informs strategic decisions.
• Contribute to resilient and innovative engineering solutions for roads and highways.
• Apply advanced analytics and optimisation techniques to improve project performance.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of engineering experience, with a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) qualification.
• Proven leadership ability to inspire and mentor high‑performing teams.
• Forward‑thinking mindset with a passion for sustainable, innovative solutions.
• Deep understanding of the transport sector and ability to influence technical direction.
• Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Track record of delivering practical, impactful outcomes.
