Associate/Lead Electrical Engineer – Team Leader

About the role

A Brisbane-based multi-disciplined engineering consultancy, operating in the local market for more than 25 years, is expanding its Electrical Services offering and is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to run the Electrical division as Team Leader. The role suits someone who enjoys independently managing challenging projects from start to finish and maintaining strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out electrical engineering assignments from project start to finish, to an exceptional standard
• Work in line with Australian codes, standards and procedures
• Manage assigned tasks and work with team members to meet project goals
• Identify and manage interfaces across projects, and control costs and timeframes
• Attend site inspections and client meetings
• Provide detailed designs of electrical services

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• 7+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer in a building services environment
• Experience designing and analysing electrical, power, lighting, communications, security and data services
• In-depth knowledge of Australian building codes and standards
• Excellent client-facing communication skills; team player and personable
• Advanced technical skills
