Associate Project Manager / Project Manager - Clinical Trials

About the role

Sonic Clinical Trials (SCT), a subsidiary of Sonic Healthcare, provides local and central laboratory services for pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device clinical trials. It is seeking a full-time Associate Project Manager or Project Manager depending on experience to join its Macquarie Park Head Office team. The role sits at the heart of the team responsible for setting up and running clinical trial activities across a wide range of therapeutic areas with a strong pipeline of studies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the operation of local and global clinical studies.
• Implement Sponsor Studies in line with client requirements.
• Handle CTMS study definition and testing according to the protocol and study specifications document.
• Act as the primary point of contact for the Sponsor/CRO on assigned studies.
• Monitor study budgets and the ongoing progress of studies in your portfolio.
• Run studies end to end: client support, kit production and shipping, through to result reporting and study closure.

Required profile

• Degree in Biomedical Science, Science or equivalent.
• 3 to 5 years' experience in a clinical laboratory setting, ideally a multi-disciplinary pathology laboratory.
• Strong project coordination and management experience.
• Commitment to high-quality work and customer service, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Aptitude for problem solving and troubleshooting; self-motivated, flexible and detail-oriented.

Required skills

• Strong CTMS and Microsoft application skills.

The role is based at the Macquarie Park Head Office; flexible work arrangements can be considered after training.
