Associate Nurse Unit Manager - CSSD

About the role

St Vincent's Private Hospital Melbourne (SVPHM) is looking for an Associate Nurse Unit Manager for its Central Sterilising Services Department (CSSD) at the Fitzroy campus. The role is permanent and full-time, and plays a key part in making sure reusable medical devices are sterilised and ready for use, supporting patient safety and healthcare efficiency. You will work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager - CSSD and the team.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure reusable medical devices are sterilised and ready for use
• Work alongside the Nurse Unit Manager - CSSD and the team
• Ensure the philosophy and values of St Vincent's Private Melbourne are reflected in the care delivered

Required profile

• Extensive experience in CSSD
• Comprehensive knowledge of medical instruments
• Certificate in Sterilisation Services (desirable)
• Ability to lead, manage and work with the Nurse Unit Manager and the team

Required skills

• High-level disinfection, packing and sterilisation of reusable medical devices
• Knowledge of loan equipment and sterile stores processes
