Associate Nurse Manager - General Medicine

About the role

Cabrini Health is recruiting an Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) for its 20-bed General Medicine unit in Malvern. The unit cares for patients admitted from the community or the Emergency Department, covering acute, chronic and complex conditions with specialist services such as diagnostics, observation, consultation, treatment, discharge planning, rehabilitation referral and supported aged-care placement. The role is full time or part time.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a key leader in the General Medicine unit, helping ensure smooth operations and high-quality patient care.
• Serve as a resource for the team and take part in quality improvement initiatives.
• Be involved in the day-to-day management of the department.

Required profile

• AHPRA registration.
• Demonstrated management and leadership skills.
• At least 3 years of acute hospital medical or surgical experience.
• High-level organisational skills with great diligence.
• Critical thinking and forward planning.
• Experience in quality improvement or auditing.
• Postgraduate Nursing Leadership and Management qualification is highly desirable or working towards it.
