Associate Front-End Developer

About the role

Join the Digital team at Cancer Council Victoria, a leading not‑for‑profit organisation dedicated to cancer prevention, research and support. As an Associate Front‑End Developer you will work on a national digital health platform, collaborating with designers, researchers and content experts to deliver user‑centred web experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance React/Next.js applications hosted on Vercel, using GitHub for version control.
• Maintain and extend enterprise CMS templates, including Contentful and legacy .NET/C# sites during migration.
• Participate in agile sprint ceremonies such as stand‑ups, planning and retrospectives.
• Conduct peer code reviews, share knowledge and contribute to technical planning.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to translate requirements into functional front‑end solutions.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Digital Technology or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in front‑end web development.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, able to explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.

Required skills

• HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and TypeScript.
• React and Next.js frameworks.
• Contentful CMS and experience with other CMS platforms.
• Vercel deployment environment.
• GitHub version control.
• .NET and C# (for legacy site support).
