Associate Director/Director – Valuation Services

About the role

KPMG’s Valuation Services team in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Associate Director or Director to lead complex valuation engagements, build client relationships, and contribute to the growth of the practice.

Key responsibilities

• Lead valuation assignments from proposal through delivery, ensuring high‑quality outcomes and strong client service.
• Develop and maintain trusted client relationships, identifying opportunities to expand service offerings.
• Drive business development activities, including proposals, pitches, and market‑facing initiatives.
• Assess business performance, key value drivers, and valuation metrics across companies, assets, and transactions.
• Prepare and review valuation reports, clearly communicating methodologies, assumptions, and commercial insights.
• Build, review, and challenge complex financial models using appropriate valuation methodologies.
• Mentor and develop junior team members while managing multiple engagements.

Required profile

• Commercially minded analytical thinker with strong stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to engage senior stakeholders and influence strategic decisions.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive, and able to deliver quality outcomes within tight deadlines.
• Experience leading, coaching, and developing high‑performing teams.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and financial modelling capabilities.
• Technical expertise in business valuations using income, market, and cost‑based approaches.
• Strong report‑writing ability to translate complex analysis into actionable insights.
