Associate Director of Sales

About the role

The Associate Director of Sales will lead commercial performance for groups and catering at The Ritz-Carlton, Melbourne, driving top‑line revenue and enhancing the guest experience across the property.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for MICE, groups and catering.
• Drive proactive business development across key segments, agencies, corporates and strategic partners.
• Collaborate with Revenue Management, Events, Marketing and Operations to translate strategy into profitable outcomes.
• Lead day‑to‑day sales activities, build long‑term customer relationships and participate in client meetings, site inspections and industry events.
• Coach and develop the sales team to meet individual and team KPIs, fostering a high‑performance culture.

Required profile

• Extensive MICE sales experience within large hotel groups.
• Proven leadership ability to build, coach and motivate a high‑performing sales team.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of achieving ambitious revenue and market‑share goals.
• Ability to translate strategy into action and win new business across rooms, catering, AV and ancillary spend.
