Associate Director – Mechanical Engineering

About the role

The Associate Director, Mechanical Engineer will lead a multi‑disciplined engineering team on technically challenging projects, delivering high‑quality services to clients while supporting the growth of the business.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support and leadership to project teams to ensure successful delivery of client projects.
• Lead projects, coordinating internal and external stakeholders to meet client requirements on time and within budget.
• Conduct cost and profit diagnostics, feasibility studies and prepare fee bids.
• Manage team turnover targets and adjust staffing plans as needed.
• Participate actively in office leadership and undertake other reasonable duties.

Required profile

• BSc/BEng or HND/HNC in an engineering discipline.
• Chartered Engineer status (or working towards) – MCIBSE/MIET desirable.
• Extensive experience in complex MEP design across various building types.
• Proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD, NES and Cymap.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office applications.
