Associate – Data Centres (Sydney or Newcastle)

About the role

We are seeking an Associate to lead complex data centre and infrastructure projects for a leading Australian architecture studio. The role operates across Sydney and Newcastle, supporting a national practice of over 600 designers and specialists.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of data centre projects, managing budget, schedule and quality.
• Own client and consultant relationships, handling commercial and contract matters.
• Ensure high‑quality design, documentation and presentation throughout all project phases.
• Mentor junior architects and foster a high‑performing studio culture.
• Act as the technical authority, resolving critical issues swiftly.

Required profile

• Proven track record delivering infrastructure or data centre projects (healthcare, defence or similar large‑scale technical work is a plus).
• Strong project management and team‑leadership experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit, InDesign and 3D modelling.
• Post‑graduate architectural qualifications; registration highly valued.
