About the role
Sodexo is seeking an Assistant Village Manager to support site operations on a flagship mining contract. The role is FIFO from Perth on an 8:6 roster, working 12‑hour days, and involves overseeing village operations and ensuring safety and compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Report to the Village Manager and assist in the overall running of village operations.
- Communicate effectively, manage people, resolve conflicts and negotiate with diverse teams.
- Lead safety initiatives and apply HSE and HR legislation.
- Identify improvement areas and implement systems, policies and procedures.
Required profile
- Innovative thinker with strong business acumen; previous people or project management experience is beneficial.
- Full WA manual driver’s licence required to operate site vehicles.
- Remote site experience preferred; extensive hospitality experience at a general manager level is transferable.
Required skills
- CPR/First aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Snake handling training (or willingness to obtain).
- Fire warden certification (or willingness to obtain).
