Assistant Store Manager – Retail Leadership

About the role

Salomon is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager at its Chatswood location. You will help create an engaging in‑store experience, drive sales, and uphold the brand’s adventurous spirit.

Key responsibilities

• Motivate and lead the team to achieve sales targets and deliver excellent customer service.
• Oversee floor operations, including inventory control, visual merchandising, and store presentation.
• Develop and execute strategies to increase foot traffic, sales, and customer loyalty.
• Recruit, train, and develop staff alongside the Store Manager, fostering a high‑energy environment.
• Manage day‑to‑day store operations and support the launch of new initiatives.
• Monitor performance metrics, manage the budget, and prepare regular reports.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety standards, and brand guidelines.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Assistant Store Manager or similar retail leadership role.
• Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Hands‑on, proactive attitude with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
• Passion for outdoor sports and familiarity with the Salomon brand.
• Data‑driven decision‑making ability.
• Flexibility to work a Sun‑Thurs roster, including weekends and public holidays.
