About the role
We are seeking a passionate, hands‑on Assistant Resort Manager to partner closely with our Resort Manager at NRMA Angourie Resort. This permanent, onsite role involves leading across multiple departments to deliver exceptional guest experiences in a boutique coastal resort.
Key responsibilities
- Support the Resort Manager in day‑to‑day operations and provide operational leadership across all areas.
- Lead, coach and develop teams to ensure outstanding guest experiences.
- Assist with rostering, workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding and training.
- Monitor operational performance, labour costs and departmental budgets.
- Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness and service.
- Collaborate with Food & Beverage, Events and Day Spa teams to maximise guest satisfaction and commercial outcomes.
- Resolve guest concerns and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Champion workplace health, safety and compliance practices.
Required profile
- Previous leadership experience in a boutique resort, hotel or premium hospitality environment.
- Exposure to Food & Beverage, Events and Functions operations.
- Strong people‑management skills and a collaborative leadership style.
- Ability to build genuine relationships with guests, team members and stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise in a fast‑paced environment.
- Financial acumen including labour management, budgeting and cost control.
- Understanding of workplace health and safety and employment compliance requirements.
