Assistant Production Coordinator

About the role

Hunter Douglas is seeking an Assistant Production Coordinator to support the efficient operation of its fashion and textile design production line in Rydalmere, NSW. This full‑time, onsite position will help drive quality, safety and productivity across the factory coverings line.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and update daily production schedules, job lists and workflow plans.
• Ensure work orders, cut sheets and production documentation are accurate and readily available.
• Track order progress and follow up on delays, shortages, rework or sequencing issues.
• Coordinate material availability with warehouse teams and maintain component records.
• Maintain production boards, reporting templates and quality documentation.
• Support continuous improvement activities, including HDMS reporting and 5S audits.
• Act as a liaison between Production, Customer Service, Warehouse and Quality teams.
• Assist with WHS administration, safety records and incident follow‑ups.

Required profile

• Experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment (blind making experience highly regarded).
• Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail.
• Comfortable working with schedules, data and structured processes.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced production setting.
• Confident communicator with strong follow‑up discipline.
• Certificate or Diploma in Business, Operations, Manufacturing or similar (preferred).
• Experience with Lean, 5S or continuous improvement is an advantage.
