Assistant Nurse (AIN) / Undergraduate Nurse – Casual (Newcastle & Maitland)

About the role

This casual position is designed for 2nd‑year Bachelor of Nursing students who want to gain hands‑on experience across a variety of hospital wards in the Newcastle and Maitland regions. You will work flexible AM, PM or night shifts while balancing your studies, using a dedicated staff app for self‑booking and advance scheduling.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision in multiple clinical settings.
• Rotate through different wards to explore areas of interest.
• Utilise the staff app to book shifts and manage your roster.
• Collaborate with allocation consultants to ensure appropriate placement.

Required profile

• Enrolled as a 2nd‑year Bachelor of Nursing student with at least two completed clinical placements.
• Legal right to work in Australia.
• Willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check and Police Check.
• Current immunisation record, including flu and COVID‑19 vaccinations.
