Assistant Night Manager - Part-Time

About the role

Hyde Perth, a new luxury hotel in the heart of Western Australia, is looking for an Assistant Night Manager on a part-time basis. Working two night shifts per week, you will support the smooth operation of the hotel overnight, help deliver exceptional guest experiences and ensure the hotel stays safe, secure and ready for the morning ahead.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests and assist with overnight check-ins, check-outs and guest requests
• Support the resolution of guest concerns
• Coordinate overnight operations with Front Office, Housekeeping and Engineering
• Conduct property walkthroughs for safety, security, cleanliness and brand standards
• Respond to overnight incidents and emergencies according to established procedures
• Assist with Night Audit, including daily reconciliations and report preparation
• Maintain logs, incident reports and handover notes
• Support and guide overnight team members and work with the Night Manager and leadership team

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years' supervisory or management experience in Front Office within a luxury or upscale hotel, ideally in an overnight role
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, able to stay calm under pressure
• Confident leadership style, able to support a small team
• Availability to work two overnight shifts per week, including weekends and public holidays as required
• Full, unrestricted Australian working rights

Required skills

• Experience with PMS systems (Opera Cloud preferred) and Night Audit or financial processes
• Current RSA and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain them; Chief Warden or First Aid experience highly regarded
• Valid driver's licence
