Assistant Manager - Novotel Melbourne Central

About the role

Accor is hiring an Assistant Manager for Novotel Melbourne Central, a dual-branded hotel with 473 rooms in Melbourne's CBD. The role leads and inspires the team to improve the guest experience, while managing the day-to-day operations of the hotel. It is a full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the day-to-day operations of the hotel and lead the team to enhance the guest experience.
• Proactively and resourcefully attend to guest requests and take initiative to keep customer interactions positive and productive.
• Resolve complaints and challenges raised by customers using the necessary skills and training.
• Provide guidance, support, training and leadership to all employees, and monitor training while staff are on shift.
• Assist in all areas of the hotel during peak times to prevent problems.
• Ensure the health and safety of patrons, guests and staff.
• Work varied shifts from early morning to late evening and night, including weekends and public holidays.

Required profile

• Natural, friendly customer service style and confidence in approaching people and starting conversations.
• Strong knowledge of the hotel and its surroundings.
• Able to manage time and juggle several tasks while following procedures and keeping a high awareness of security.
• An outcome-driven approach to performance and results.
