Assistant Manager, Concierge

About the role

The Assistant Manager, Concierge will be a highly visible presence across the ground‑floor arrival experience, concierge podium and public areas, ensuring guests receive a warm welcome and seamless support throughout their stay. Reporting to the Chief Concierge, you will help shape a service operation renowned for warmth, professionalism and personalised service.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a visible presence on the ground floor, concierge podium and public areas, ensuring the podium is consistently attended.
• Create genuine relationships with guests through personalised recommendations and anticipatory hospitality.
• Champion exceptional arrival and departure experiences that leave memorable first and final impressions.
• Inspire, coach and develop a high‑performing Concierge and Bell Services team through daily engagement and mentorship.
• Partner closely with Front Office, Guest Relations, Housekeeping and Food & Beverage to deliver a seamless guest journey.
• Identify opportunities to surprise and delight guests with thoughtful, personalised experiences.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement to position Concierge as a top‑performing department.
• Act as a trusted destination expert, connecting guests with the best experiences Melbourne offers.

Required profile

• Previous leadership experience within Concierge, Front Office, Guest Relations or luxury hospitality operations.
• Passion for creating exceptional, personalised guest experiences.
• Outstanding communication, interpersonal and relationship‑building skills.
• Proven ability to coach, mentor and develop high‑performing teams.
• Proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and service excellence.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence (automatic and manual).
• Valid Australian working rights.
