Assistant Leading Hand

About the role

The Assistant Leading Hand supports the shift Leading Hand in overseeing production activities and staff within the manufacturing hall. Reporting directly to the shift Leading Hand and working closely with the site Quality Officer, this role ensures efficient machine operation and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assign and coordinate tasks for the shift production team.
• Operate machines, ensure efficient performance and produce conforming products.
• Conduct product testing and adjust machine settings as needed.
• Maintain compliance with WHS, Food Safety, and Quality Standards.

Required profile

• Previous machine operation experience (blow moulding preferred).
• Mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot and make minor adjustments using hand tools.
• Strong focus on safety and quality, with knowledge of HACCP and GMP.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work weekends; holds or willing to obtain a NSW forklift licence.
