Assistant in Nursing – Aged Care

About the role

Darling Downs Health is recruiting an Assistant in Nursing for Forest View Residential Aged Care in the Toowoomba region, Wide Bay. You will support older people to maintain their wellbeing and independence, working alongside a caring multidisciplinary team in a regional community.

Key responsibilities

• Support residents with daily living activities that promote wellbeing, comfort and quality of life.
• Work alongside Registered and Enrolled Nurses to deliver safe, high-quality care and monitor changes in residents' needs.
• Help create a welcoming, respectful and safe environment where residents feel valued and supported.
• Contribute to quality and safety initiatives by accurately documenting care and identifying opportunities for improvement.

Required profile

• Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, Health Services Assistance (or equivalent), or current nursing studies meeting eligibility requirements.
• Ability to provide safe, person-centred care in a residential aged care setting.
• Experience in residential aged care and/or knowledge of contemporary aged care quality standards is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills and commitment to continuous learning, quality care and safe work practices.
