Assistant Director of Clinical Education

About the role

Cabrini Malvern is looking for an accomplished, practical and energising clinical education leader to join the newly created role of Assistant Director of Clinical Education. Working alongside the Director of Clinical Education, you will lead the day-to-day delivery of clinical education programs and the simulation centre, bringing the Director's strategy to life as second in charge of the department.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the education calendar, coordinate programs and simulation activity and steward resources
• Strengthen relationships with clinical services and education partners
• Support accreditation readiness
• Lead and develop a skilled clinical education team and simulation centre
• Turn a contemporary education strategy into well-run, measurable programs
• Depute for the Director and build strategic and executive leadership experience
• Partner with clinical leaders across nursing, allied health and clinical services, and with universities, professional bodies and external education providers

Required profile

• Registered nurse and experienced clinical educator with a track record of leading people and programs
• Postgraduate qualification in clinical education (or working toward it)
• Experience in a senior education role
• Organised, visible and collaborative, steady under pressure, with an innovative approach to teaching and learning
• Sound understanding of accreditation requirements
