Assistant Director – Early Childhood Education

About the role

Campbelltown & K (C&K) is looking for a caring, enthusiastic Assistant Director to work alongside its Centre Director and support the daily running of the Gundanoo Community Childcare Centre in North Rockhampton, Queensland. This is a permanent full-time position combining hands-on engagement with children and educators with leadership and administrative responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Float three days each week across the rooms, supporting educators and connecting with children.
• Spend two days each week in the office, assisting with administration, planning and centre operations.

Required profile

• Diploma in Early Childhood qualification.
• First Aid, CPR and Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification.
• Valid Blue Card or Exemption Card, and a current police check.
• Completion of Foundations of Child Safety training (Geccko).
• Team-player mindset and a passion for high-quality outcomes for children, families and the community.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the National Quality Framework and Standards.
• Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guide.
