Assistant Designer – Fashion Design Support

About the role

We are seeking a highly organised, detail‑obsessed Assistant Designer to support our senior designer through the entire product lifecycle. You will work on everything from concept development to sampling, ranging and launch, ensuring the design process runs smoothly in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with trend and market research, mood boards, colour palettes and seasonal inspiration.
• Create technical CADs, range pages and specification sheets using Adobe Illustrator.
• Prepare development briefs for suppliers and support fabric, trim and material sourcing.
• Track development samples, maintain lab dip and strike‑off records, and manage tech‑pack submissions.
• Maintain product data in AP21, Clo‑set or equivalent systems, updating BOMs, colourways and style information.
• Manage WIP tracking, sample logs and critical‑path updates across the team.
• Provide day‑to‑day administrative support, prepare documentation for range and buy meetings, and keep design sample areas organised.

Required profile

• 1–3 years’ experience in design, product development or a creative support role (internships considered).
• Diploma or degree in Fashion Design, Product Development or a related discipline.
• Exceptional organisational skills with obsessive attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Adobe Illustrator – confident creation of technical CADs and spec sheets.
• Microsoft Office and Google Workspace proficiency.
• Familiarity with product data systems such as AP21 and Clo‑set.
