Assistant Centre Manager - Kindilan

About the role

GABC is looking for an Assistant Centre Manager for its Kindilan centre, located 40 minutes from Brisbane and an hour from the Gold Coast, on 220 acres of bushland in Redland Bay. Working closely with the Centre Manager, the Assistant supports day-to-day leadership and operations, helping deliver safe, fun and high-quality outdoor education experiences. The role is full time.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop Activity Instructors, and support their training, performance and progression
• Help deliver safe, fun and engaging programs
• Act as a key contact for teachers and group leaders on site
• Support daily operations, including kitchen, cleaning and maintenance teams
• Assist with rostering, resourcing, safety and compliance
• Solve problems on the spot, support staff and keep things running smoothly

Required profile

• Experience leading or supervising teams; outdoor education or camps experience is a big plus
• Organised, proactive and calm under pressure
• Passionate about safety, quality and great guest experiences
• Full working rights in Australia
• Current (or willingness to obtain) Paid Blue Card
• First Aid and Bronze Medallion, or willingness to gain them
• Flexibility to work variable hours, including peak periods
